Today brings a short post from the home of my parents.  We are on our way to Cabo san Lucas tomorrow morning, and will meet Hurricane Henrietta on Tuesday!  Steve hadn’t been by the house for about two weeks, and I haven’t been since our trip to Florence, so we went down to Veneta yesterday to see what has been going on.  We will be gone for a week, so we wanted to satisfy our curiosity before we left for Mexico.

Last week was painting week, which is why Steve hadn’t stopped by.  The exterior and interior is all painted, and I really like the exterior color we picked out.  It’s a browny mushroom color.  The house right next door is a dark grey, which looks really good next to ours.  The tile floor in the kitchen, and the linoleum in the bathrooms and laundry room have been completed.  All of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and counters are installed, and so are all of the light fixtures with the exception of the ceiling fans in the living room and master bedroom.  Steve and I were thinking, and the only big things left to do are to install the carpet, toilets and sinks, the kitchen appliances, and front yard landscaping.  The model home office won’t give us a definitive answer if the house will be done sooner than we thought, but I’m holding out hope.  I don’t think that the stuff left to do will take a month and a half.  We’ll see - we are already planning on October 14th, so if it’s the 14th so be it.

Well, that’s all for today, see you all when we get back from Cabo!
