When I say full speed ahead, I mean full speed ahead. Since I posted last, the house has been growing like a weed. Steve stopped by the house on Thursday of last week, and was surprised to see a back wall framed and our backyard sliding glass door already installed. There was a stack of framing materials and brand new windows waiting outside the house.
Since we were told they usually frame three houses at a time, we were thinking, cool, they got started on ours and will work on the the other two for a little bit. Everything is right on schedule, and starting to look like a house.
Cue Saturday. Steve and I went to visit his parents this weekend. I hadn’t actually been out to the house for about three weeks, and had only seen it in person as a lot, so we decided to take the long way and stop by on the way to Fall River. Needless to say, we were both shocked at what we found. Almost all of the exterior walls were framed, windows were installed, and one of the walls already had siding on! The other two houses haven’t even begin being framed yet, so the crews are focusing only on our house right now. We met one of our neighbors, and she told us when they bought their house, which is identical to ours, they closed three weeks early! Based on the progress they are making right now, I wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up closing early too. We could be coming home from Mexico to pack immediately.
It looks like a house!
